It is a sacred thing to administer the Body and Blood of Christ to His Church. The high point of each Mass is the transfiguration of bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ. Eucharistic Ministers take the consecrated Host and give it to parishioners to eat and to drink, that they might experience the fullness of the Lord, as he intended and prescribed at the Last Supper.
